I ask because I’m not sure if I should be using Basic Salvage kits or Master Salvage Kits on lvl68+ rares…?

Ectos are rather rare, it’s better to use master kits at the very least, if you get any use the Black Lion Salvage Kits as they have the highest chances for getting ectos

In your opinion, do you consider ecto as a “rarer material”? The fact that globs can’t be deposited, like mitril/ori, leads me to believe that ecto isn’t a material that categorized like mitril/ori. I always understood “rarer material” as in t5 to t6 kind of “rarer” upgrade.

You just said that you receive more ectos using a basic than a BL. Did you mean the opposite, and do you know this from experience or…?

I meant the opposite, sorry.

And yes, I know this from experience. Black Lion always gives me 2-3. Master gives me 1-2, 3 rarely. And basic gives me 1 rarely.
