I noticed my junk collection achievement was almost complete missing only a seashell so I started killing crabs to try and get that last junk drop, but it seems I have killed hundreds of them with no luck. Since this achievement is so old I am afraid they took it off the drop tables. I was wondering if anyone got one recently?

They are still in game. Ive gotten them, although I don’t remember the map. According to wiki thr crustacean mobs will either drop shells ot seashells, so if you get a shell move to a different map.

Try Ventry Bay in Caledon Forest…that is where I got mine to drop…killed like 8-10 hermit crabs and got one.

I killed a handful of every type of crustacean on the wiki on various maps and got nothing. I have been focusing on the Hermit Crabs in Southsun Cove with zero luck. The wiki doesn’t document the drops very consistently. I am hoping someone can remember where they got one last. My fear is they only drop once and then never again once they are in your collection so there won’t be many sightings.

They won’t be a single drop because they’re listed as junk trophies, like the mangled claws, brittle bones, cogs, etc. All these are also needed for the collection.

The collection was added after the fact. We got these junk trophies since launch. The achievement was added later when the basic collections were added to the game. It might have a lower drop rate but it shouldn’t be a one time thing.

Your hunting in to high level maps as a poster above said go to caledon forest and find the crabs in the middle of the map.
Continue killing untill you have it.

Avoid using magic find.

I will try Caledon Forest but there is not much I can do about my magic find as my account is at a pretty high level.

MF might hinder you a bit, I wouldn’t run anything that boosts your regular account level…but I was getting blue gear equip drops at the same time i got mine to drop…i got mine like 3 months ago, and if I remember correctly i got a green med armor piece at the same time i got the junk drop…but it was in that area of Caledon and i just went up and down the shoreline killin’ crabs…:)
