Call me stupid, but are there such things as quests?

I haven’t played this game in a while so I have forgotten how Guild Wars 2 works.

Is there a specific key I can press to bring up quests?
Are there even such things as quests?
How can I get quests (if there are such things)?

Please help me as I am thriving to play this epic game once again!
