My friends are on a high pop realm and I was thinking of transfering there with a few friends. Is it still free or is that shut now?

Also would you recommend going to a high server pop or stay where I am in Medium

I recommend you give it a try. Especially if you have no gems and it works, then there is nothing stopping you. Even if it costs gems, the gem price is low. According to the wiki, it’s not limited yet. So jump over now you can

I don’t think they’ll start charging for it until guesting is working.

Transfers will be remaining free until server population has settled, but I bet Anet will give information and warning for when they are going to close that, so you’ve time to move back if it doesn’t work out
