Q:
ArenaNet Guild
Afaik they’re mostly Anet Employees some maybe GMs or others are Anet Programmers/Developers. Might be away or testing something.
Eternal Breaker[ExB] || Sanctum of Rall
Now that you mentioned it, we’ll probably hear an official statement about them and their “guild partners”. I remember back in GW1, they officially stated and listed their “partner guilds” (ie guilds with ANet employees) as not eligible for any ANet sponsored contests.
They’ll probably do the same with GW2.

They are ArenaNet staff members. If they happen to answer you, then consider it a bonus, as they’re generally either working on the game or playing the game in their off time (yes, we’re allowed to have time off, like on evenings and weekends!).
Please don’t pepper them with requests for customer support or account help or anything of that nature. They’re not GMs/Customer Support staff members and they will not be able to help you with customer support requests.

Regina, could we get some screens some day of what these employees are doing when they are standing around in Tyria doing nothing? I always picture some type of awesome debug junk and model editing going on on the other side of that screen
They are all inspecting your gear and silently judging you

I always picture them in my mind kinda like those guy in black in Dark City, wandering around, pointing at something and suddenly the enviroment starts changing and morphing in different ways…
I know it’s not how it works, but still a cool mental image..
wrapped up in some crazy ritualist hoo-ha from Cantha.
A real grab bag of ‘you can’t hurt me. They’re called Guardians.

I lolled
I saw an ANet member in Hoelbrak a few days ago. I watched him for a few minutes, expecting I-don’t-know-what, but when he didn’t do anything cool I went about my business.
Can you imagine trying to relax and play for a while with that tag? I’d probably just open a window for guild chat and ignore the rest. Though, if I was an employee, I’d like the ability to occasionally show up as a god-like character and grant boons or something.

I figured if they wanted to be left alone they wouldn’t sport the logo. XD
