I hear a lot of people talking about “exotic armor” as the endgame armor. Are they talking about a particular set? Because I was hoping for a greater variety of armor appearances.

So is there a really high variety of armor appearances to choose from as a level 80? Or is it all rather linear in design?

Go to pvp. The gear locker there has a copy of about every armor available in pve.

You can always buy or craft rarer armor skins and transmute them onto your exotics. There are plenty of rare and unique skins, and transmute stones are very easy to come by.

I haven’t came across any fine transmutation stones.

^neither have i, i’m 42 and not a single fine transmutation stone. I think the fact that you can only use the standard transmutation stones untill 79 rediculous, but i guess they need to make money dont they.

It costs 60 silver for a batch of 5 Fine Transmutation Stones last Saturday.

You also spend between 60-70% at level 80. Ok more in the end but My map was only mid 30% when i dinged 80.

Exotic armors are endgame armors for their attributes and stats, yes. However they are not the best looking ones. Some of the dungeon armors or most likely, cultural armors are endgame, best looking armors.

I’ve gotten 10 fine transmutation stones for free… just have to get luckyu when opening the Black Lion Chests that drop.

Also have to get lucky to get the keys it seems as I have 86 chests sitting in my bank and no keys to open them.
