I could swear that I’ve seen people waiting to get into dungeons with skins from one type of armor applied to another. For example, I could swear that I saw a Thief the other night wearing a CoF dungeon-armor helmet, which must have been a medium piece, but it had the HEAVY (not medium) armor skin applied to it. Is this even possible, if you use the proper-leveled Transmute stone? If so, do you just purchase gear with whatever look you’re wanting (even if you can’t actually equip it) and then use Transmute to combine that look with the stats form the item you can actually wear?

It should not be possible to transmute across types. Medium armor can only look like other medium armor.
Thast’s what I thought, but I could have sworn I saw someone with this helmet on a Thief… Maybe I was mistaken.
