From Patch notes can some one tell me what this is will not be able to play for a few days.

do you have to take the armor off to transmuted or is the armor you have on no longer transmuted at all.

if you can not longer do it to armor you have put on that will be BS i spent a lot of gold getting the armor skins i like to not be able to use them any more.

All it means is you have to take armor off before transmuting it. It’s to solve a bug that caused you to appear naked

It’s mostly harmless. It just means you need to unequip the item before you can transmute it. Everything else works the same as it used to. This thread probably belongs in players helping players.

I haven’t tried yet but i believe it means you should take off the part before transmuting. Please correct me if i’m wrong.

I have transmuted since patch and everyone’s responses are pretty much spot on. Just take the armor/weapon off, transmute it, then re-equip it. It works just fine

It’s arena nets way of getting everyone naked >:D

i can’t Transmuted or use the HoM transmute also when i take the armor off, i can now use major runes but it also don’t work to put them in armor with minor on it same for the weapons also don’t work.

Thats odd Dutch, I transmute with HoM things last night, both armor and weapon and it worked fine for me

its working for me on new armor but not on the armor i wear

Have you tried taking the armor off that you are wearing (put it in your inventory), then transmuting? The armor I transmuted was the armor I had equipped, not new armor (it’s my lvl 80 armor that I’ve been wearing for awhile, just needed a new look).

What I did was ported to HoM, got the skins, unequipped all my armor, then double clicked the skin and put the correct piece in the transmute window when it came up, transmuted it, then re-equipped the piece.

I am a noob to this transmute stuff, and would like to know how this works.

I know you need a transmute stone; a piece of armour or weapon you like the look of; and similar armour piece or weapon you want to change.

Can this done anywhere, by double-clicking on the transmute stone, or do you need to be at the mystic forge as well?

When you double-click on the transmute stone, is there an interface where you place the two items, and is it clearly indicated which item goes where, i.e. the ‘skin’ item goes in a particular slot and the ‘object’ item goes into another?

With my luck, I would wind up transferring lower stats of an item instead of the ‘skin’…

You can transmute anywhere as far as I know.

The interface is pretty simple too. You drag your two items into the windows side by side. Inside the window the items are separated into 3 transmutable parts… looks, stats, and upgrade equipment if theres anything slotted there.

Simply double click on the look of the object you want, then the stats and upgrade. They become highlighted and move to the center so you can see what you’ll end up with.

You’re pretty much spot-on with your assumption. You are given a window where you drag two compatible items (two medium chest pieces, two axes, etc). Each item is broken up into its pieces: Appearance, stats, and rune/sigil. You then select one of each type and hit transmute.

I am about to hit level 60, so hoping things might change for the better …

I don’t like that they took the lazy way out of fixing this instead of actually making it so that transmuting didn’t work inter-racially.

So we are punished by having to not only make our character naked now but we are forced to drag and click twice as much per item. Bad move.

hmmmm, I’m not sure if I agree with you, I have a human engineer and am really happy with the (crafted) noble armor. Have been using it since level 35 and transmutating it all the time I find better stats.

Wow! Great job with the dyes!!

I use Abyss, Midnight Fire and Midnight Gold on mine, however, just not a fan of the ‘coats’. I almost prefer the very early shorter vest-type kit than the coats.
