Ascended Crafting and Changing Stats
You wouldent and thats why its a blessing it was introduced into the game.
Awesome, thanks for the confirmation. I guess other than the satisfaction of doing it there is no point. Thanks.
I’m fitting out my Reaper these days and need to craft a few armor pieces, chose shaman stats because the insignia is really cheap on the TP. At the end of the day, Yassith’s costs as much as Zojja’s

But the recipes cost aurillium, so I spare myself that hassle. I needed to purchase the exotic recipe for the insignia and inscription though.
If you’re making the dowels yourself rather than buying them it’s not a big saving. The difference is some Fulgurite – i.e. some Obsidian and the HoT map mats everone’s drowning in. (Airship Oil, Auric Dust, Ley-line Sparks)
There are several considerations in choosing to Craft X to convert to Y.
- The conversion costs, of course: 5 ecto, 20 spirit shards, and the relevant exotic inscription — that inscription is also required for direct crafting, so you have to save at least 5e to make it worth while.
- Recipe costs, for the item and its ascended inscription|insignia. Some recipes cost premium amounts of local currencies.
- Fulgurite, which is worth roughly 7-15 gold per 25 (if you use it to sell Jeweled patches or inscriptions instead of crafting your own stuff).
