Ascended Gear question

I am just returning to game after 9 mos. and am confused about ascended gear. If I buy a piece using laurels and badges of honor (in WvW) will the piece follow me into PVE, or it can it only be used in PVP?

It can be used in PVE. Also wvw is not connected to spvp in anyway. It is connected to pve in that it uses your same gear.

WvW and PvE share gear. So yes, stuff you buy in WvW will work in PvE.

It’s PvP which uses completely separate gear. As far as I know there is no ascended PvP gear because PvP was designed for all the gear to have the same stats.
