I play 3 classes, looking at taking up 3 more in the following months. I love having multiple characters to be able to try out different builds/team builds with my friends.
I own two ascended rings (one of which is Mellagan’s Whorl – useless) and will own one ascended amulet tomorrow after I complete my daily.
If I do fractals for all of my rings and daily/monthly for all of my amulets, it’ll take me no less than 4 months just to get rings and amulets for my characters. By then there will be (speculation) 4 more categories of ascended gear, not to mention the back items I have yet to begin working towards.

So my question to all others who play multiple characters: how are we expected to gear up all our people?

with a months work you can get enough ascended gear apart from the neck for 5 characters i dont see where your going with this

At the moment you cannot gear up all your people (with Amulets) but I’m sure this will change, they should add more ways of getting Ascended Gear soon.

Thanks. Do we have any idea what the other ways will be? Is it even worth spending my laurels on an amulet now?

It depends on you if you really want the amulet or not, it’s only 5-10% better than an exotic amulet so personaly I don’t care about the amulets (yet)

I honestly don’t like most of the ascended items either. People get blinded by the flashy color and the excessive numbers on it, but if you sit down and number crunch it, it’s not much better than an exotic that can be more appropriately tailored to your build. Most ascended have such random worthless stats your build have no use for they are not really worth the effort needed for the tiny amount of gain you might get from the stats on it you do need. But like you said, it comes down to personal preference, if you really can’t live without ascended stuff, I think it would be possible to gear alts, but not a feasible thing to do. You’re gonna work twice as hard for the same results as just outfitting them in proper exotic stats for your build. In the future more specific ascended will probably be released so for now it might be better to just hold onto those laurels.

Or…. you can try going for the Ascended Triforge Pendant, but will cost you a lot of Gold $_$.

well the main appeal for ascended amulets is the utility infusion slot which doesn’t guarantee you Agony Resist.

Well if you are running a rabid-geared build getting exotic jewelry never been and easy feat, so i have been stuck before this with rare jewelry for quite a while. and while it true you can add more variety, but honesntly i think most ppl uses a jewel with same stats as the jewelry itself, so only gaining there

How does one equip alts? According to what you have to spare, I’d say. If you’re hot for Ascended gear for them, then perhaps gear up a character you intend to do a lot of Fractals with then start running them and using gear drops to furnish them (apparently Rings drop like candy). I’d opt not to worry about Amulets for them, but then again I’m opting not to worry about Amulets at all, myself.
