I’m a bit confused about them.

I bought the Amulet with 20 Laurels and 250 Badges from WvW.

Now I’ve seen that there are Rings, Accessories and Backpacks?

But rings costs 40 Laurels and 40 Ectos? IS that right? Are those the only ascended items in the game?

Get your fractal reward level to 10 then run fractal 10 … 10 times once a day for 10 days. Then you’ll be able to get an ascended ring of your choice for free.

Oh, that sounds nice and less expensive! I have already done some fractals, not sure up to what level though.
I’ll be checking that, I’m really confused about costs and which one is the less expensive (time-wise)

yes, rings are way over priced from laurel vendor, but very cheap from fractals.
there are currently only ascended rings, amulets, accessories, back in the game.

Rings cost 35 laurels (or 25 laurels + 250 badges of honor), and as everyone said it’s much easier to get them with fractals.

What costs 40 laurels + 50 ectos is the accesories, but the laurel price is intentionally high because to steer people towards doing guild missions, since it’s much cheaper to buy them with guild commendations (12 commendations + 5g for each accesory, you can earn up to 6 commendations a week if you do all guild missions).

If you don’t have a guild that does them, BTW, check on the LFG website on weekends (where most guilds do their missions) or here:

lots of guilds run their missions weekly and do temporary invites for anyone that wants to help/get commendations.

I didn’t know about fractals. I’ll do some runs, as others suggested. What use do laurels have then?

I’ve got the amulet already but fail to see how should I use the laurels then.

The main use for laurels (to my knowledge) is:

1) Ascended amulets and Ascended accessories (either exclusively or in addition to guild commendations)
2) dyes and crafting mats

I’m just holding on to mine right now until they introduce the new magic find change and the new ascended armor/weapons.
