I bought an ascended longbow recipe, as I was going to make a bow for my Ranger, and realized I already have the Beserker recipe (must have been working on it before I took a break last time and forgotten about it).

So now I have this unused ‘Ascended Longbow’ recipe, and was wondering if there was another stat combo that might be useful for another (this?) class that I might want to consider in the future that I could pick, so the recipe doesn’t go to waste? I know the Guardian gets a bow at some point, maybe they use a different stat combo?

Maybe one of the new 4-stat recipes? A condition-based recipe for the Ranger? (I use a lot of condition skills/traits/stats for my Ranger.)

Condi LB ranger isn’t really a thing since LB does zero damaging conditions. You can use viper for a condi berserker (warrior) though.

Thanks. Looks like Crusader and Marauder are the only two that I can pick with 4 stats. The rest are all the older ones. I guess I’ll just pick a 3 stat condi one for maybe a beserker warrior.

That’s what I get for not checking to see if I new the recipe first.

You could also make the ascended bow and then use the mystic forge to change to viper.

@Notebene: you might have luck asking Customer Support if you can exchange it for a recipe type you haven’t unlocked (or perhaps a refund; however, I would think a replacement is easier for them).

For example, maybe you haven’t unlocked any ascended shortbow recipes, so you could get it swapped from LB to SB.

That’s not a bad idea. Wouldn’t hurt to ask. Haven’t used it yet.

Though I might have used up my one ‘good will’ request a few years back when ascended jewelry came out and I accidentally bought two of a ‘unique’ item, not knowing what that meant, and they said that was my ‘one time’ fix. :/

You might want a slightly-cheaper-to-craft longbow recipe, so you don’t have to make Berzerker every time you want to swap stats on one. Sure, it only saves a few silver out of tens of gold, but w/e.
