Okay guys. I was looking into building this weapon based on the stats listed on Wiki. When I went to chose my ascended recipe for it, it wasn’t an option in the game. Any ideas why it isn’t there, or does anyone know for a fact why it isn’t there. Anything you guys can provide me would be great. Thanks.

Verata recipes are only available in the Silverwastes zone, west of Brisban Wildlands. You can find them rarely in Lost Bandit Chests there, or alternately purchase the recipe from the Trading Post from another player who’s found it.

Another option is to make any of the other ascended spires and then use a sinister inscription (which is cheaper to buy in bandit crests) in the mystic forge to change the stats to Veratas.

And with rarely he means almost never.

You also now have the option to make it as another, and then make an exotic Verata’s insignia/inscription and throw it into the mystic forge.

I can’t check in-game, but Spidy says the recipe doesn’t even cost 50s. I doubt making one and then MF’ing it is cheaper.

In short, just buy the recipe from the trading post, OP.
