Greetings, fellow players!

Been having a few thoughts on something, but quick searches didn’t yield much information. See, I transmuted my Mathilde’s Bastion a while ago, and changed the skin back to what it was, expecting it to change back to the original name. Of course, I was wrong.

What I’ve been thinking is that if I were to infuse it at the Mystic Forge (if what I read is correct) then it will effectively reset the item, and the name will return? Hoping someone can help me clear this up for me, I’m OCD about things like this…

While in theory it’s not a bad idea it has one minor issue. Only back items and rings can be infused in the forge.

Only possible solution I can think of off the top of my head is to craft a new one to get the name.

Don’t they have an infusion slot as well? Seems kind of moot if they can’t be infused…

Yes they have an infusion slot but currently not everything with an infusion slot can be infused. For more details -

Ah, I understand now. It’s definitely a silly move to not be able to use the slots. Thank you. I’ll figure out whether to craft or wait for an update, either way could be a while.

Edit: I done goofed again, I now understand the differences about the slots.

No you can use the slots. Take an infusion (versatile simple infusion for example) and double click it to add it like you do with runes. Making equipment infused means you get 2 infusion slots.
