How do i make these? i could not find them in the trading post, I want a shield and pistol and i’m going for the rabid build on engi if that makes a difference

You need to craft it and its expensive and it’s only a small bonus in stats. If you don’t have much experience in the game yet, wait a bit. You don’t want to make ascended weapons of the wrong stats and figure out later that you wasted gold. For example, rabid pistol/shield is super good if you are roaming, but not so good if it’s for WvW zerg or PvE.

They are account bound (can’t be sold, traded or given to another player) so that’s why you can’t find them on the TP. You must make them for yourself.

Then rabid is a good choice. But you should still take your time with ascended. I don’t know where exactly you are but those two weapons could cost you A LOT of gold for a new player. You need to level both weaponsmith and huntsman (around 200 gold). And then both weapons can cost you around 50 gold each. And all that for a small increase in stats.

You are better taking it slow, accumulating material by yourself and leveling everything with buff when you are ready to decrease drastically the cost. Anyway, you are ok with exotic, even vereran player still use exotic on most of their character. At least for armor and weapons, ascended trinket are actually pretty easy to get.
