So you’re saying there is no way to tell where a portal will take you until you are about to walk through it?
In Lions Arch there is a race representative next to each gate showing which area you would go to. All the others have the name of the zones.
Walk up to them and hover your mouse over the orb in the middle of the portal no need to go through them to find out where it goes.
