Australian/Oceanic Servers
Hey Maxwolfe,
Im on Sea of Sorrows and to be honest I was in a guild of 50+ Aussie’s and now it seems im the only one left, although 2 other people logged back in for the one time event but Anet put it on a monday so they just vented their fustration as they just finished work and missed the event and left I don’t think they will be coming back
, To be honest I was thinking of changing servers or possibly finding a new game cause it seems SoS is slowly declining in players and Anet only caters to NA region, and oceanic is just left in the dark..
But hey each to their own!, personally I just think they should shut down some servers and move the population to a certain few..

Doesn’t sound like it’s all what it’s cracked up to be, then?
I recommend Downunder [DU] on Stormbluff Isle. Check out their website http://duguild.com/ (you can apply from there).
Like many GW2 guilds they are experiencing a period of transition, but there are still several players logging in and doing stuff (both PvP and PvE).
It’s a fun and friendly casual guild.
I feel your pain, I’m an aussie on Yaks Bend and I tend to “solo” in our prime time while doing group events in US prime time.
A number of servers have quite low oceanic population. In my opinion it is best to find an active oceanic or SEA guild and run with them (hint hint).
I would consider Jade Quarry, Stormbluff Isle, Sea of Sorrows or Crystal Desert.
i run on Sanctum of Rall and from my experience it’s not to bad during Oceanic times. i’m from HK so three hours behind Australia and during the week i play at nights. usually see people running around in open world and/or running dungeons.
i won’t say it’s SUPER populated, but feel free to ask me more questions before you make any switches as well. though i’m also leaning towards your best bet is probs to find a strong oceanic guild : )) good luck!

I joined a rather large Australian guild on Isle of Janthir but they have also just recently jumped ship to another server (Ehmry Bay). I’ve transferred with them, but considering I’m really not THAT into WvW (I’m really just there for the XP), the server is not great for PvE during peak time, which is what I like to do most of the time.
Any other suggestions for very popular Oceanic servers?
I’m on Kaineng. People seem to say its getting more and more deserted but I never have trouble finding parties.
