Okay, so, I’ve been playing for just over three years now, and I still haven’t made a Legendary. My husband is making Nevermore and it makes me want to make one as well.

Out of all the Legendaries, Astralaria is definitely my favorite. It’s clean, classy, and beautiful. So if I made a Legendary, it’d be Astralaria. Which brings me to my question: is the axe worth having on any class? It’s not really part of the meta. I know that, based on the designs and sounds, it was basically made for the druid (aesthetically), but do Rangers/Druids even have good axe skills?

I know the other options are Warrior (which I main), Necromancer (which I have at level 80), and Revenant (which I haven’t played yet). Are any of these classes worth having axe/double axe on? Or are the subsequent skills not worth the Legendary journey?

So to recap: Axe – yes/no? If yes – which class?

Axe MH is pretty good on a hybrid Ranger and OF is good for power Ranger.

Necro Axe is pretty garbage but is really your only ranged option for a power necro (staff and scepter aren’t good power weapons).

Warriors use Axe on several meta builds.

I was debating for weeks over making a legendary, more specifically The Dreamer, because only two professions could use it and at the time Rangers laughed at SBs. I could have made one of the GS or Bifrost or Bolt and more characters could have used it but in the end, I loved Dreamer and it’s unicorns. Do I regret making it? Nope…not one bit, I equip onto my thief or ranger and enjoy it while I play it. Basically, what I am saying is make the effort for the one you really want the most, not the one you can use on multiple characters. Why bother putting in all that time and effort if you didn’t really want it in the first place?

I say go for the axe and play a Ranger or a Warrior! As the PP said, Axe necro is pretty sad right now…

My Astralaria is currently being used by my necromancer. Off hand axe on ranger is useful for the pull and the projectile reflect.

Offhand Axe is the best choice for a Revenant that uses sword or mace mainhand. Offhand axe + Sword is a great combo for warrior as well.

Axe mainhand on Warrior is a great weapon. I miss the days of it being max DPS, though. But it’s still solid, and great to use opposite shield on power builds in PvP. (And, you can use Twilight or Sunrise opposite it if you feel like going after another legendary weapon)
