Guild Wars 2

So as the title explains, I have been gone from this game for over 2 years and am looking to get back into it, but I am completely lost. Could anyone give me a few pointers as to what i should do to get back into the game? I have all my character slots full of level 80s so Id prefer to not wipe one and start over but it may be the best idea to get to know the game again. Any suggestions are welcome!

Every zone scales your character, so you could go to a zone you haven’t completed and work on it while you reacquaint yourself with the game.

If you don’t have at least exotic gear yet, look that up on the wiki.

Log in and start playing. Maybe start with doing any story stuff you have unlocked and not completed.

I have all exotic and some ascended as well, Im mainly looking to WvW, PvP, and also some end game PvE…So what im gathering is my exotic and ascended gear is still top of the line gear?!

Ascended is max stat-wise. Legendary has fancy looks/effects and adjustable stats – but not stronger stats.

Thanks for the tips i will look into how to get that gear, also gonna just run dailies and try to join some dungeon runs, i cant even remember how to play my character lol

If you haven’t finished or done the personal story, that’s a good easy way to get experience and relearn your profession. Also working on world completion and hopping on a world boss train will help you relearn the maps, where stuff is, etc. Once you feel comfortable with that, dungeon runs and fractals will help you relearn playing as part of a group, and if you like that and have HoT, you can try to find a raid group to join. Also once you feel comfortable with your class, the major end game pve OW areas right now are the HoT zones and the Season 3 areas (lots of map specific currencies that give access to some really really nice stuff).

I can’t advice on pvp or wvw.

You mind peruse the “Looking for…” forums and find a PvE guild to join. There are some real good and active ones there. And guildies could give ya lots of adventures to go on and join in.
