Both are great in WvW. As for PvE Warriors are solid, but I’m not sure about Eles. Granted your PvE and WvW builds are most likely going to look a lot different.

My ele rocks the pve, you just need to know how to dodge and always have a defensive utility. In dungeons we can do a great deal of damage but it’s a pretty boring spec that relies on the party protecting you :p

Ele was never most sought after for dungeons, you might be confusing mesmer, but now that cof1 isn’t infinite money you can do all sorts of dungeons.

Eles have had some decent quality of life changes to staff and scepter (increased smoothness of casting due to removing a lot of aftercast and cast delay) and some nerfs, especially in pvp.

Eles got a bit nerfed and a bit buffed, but it’s still a strong class for WvW

No real changes to Warrior, and this is still the most desired class to run dungeons. There’s some need for Guardians as well, so getting both classes should be ok for PvE

Thieves were not buffed or nerfed, but their numbers have increased in both WvW and PvE – that means dungeons
Mesmers also got some space in dungeon runs because of the utility they can bring to the party

Rangers and Engis are kind of abandoned. The pet AI is still terrible, and even though pets got a huge defense buff months ago, they still can’t survive some encounters, and that weakens the ranger.
Engis were never really popular, but they got buffed I think
