Bank Space and Inventory Managment Help
It’s probably a bit of both. Sooner or later you probably will need to get more bank space (although I’ve been playing since launch and I still only have the original tab) but I’d bet money you’re keeping a lot of stuff you don’t really need.
For example you mentioned currencies, tickets and buttons. Since all the actual currencies go into the wallet now (and will have gone in there automatically when you first opened the bank after the update) I’m guessing you mean stuff like the voting slips and the gautlet tickets from previous Living Story releases. If they’re not useable with current content and you can’t sell them to a merchant delete them because you can’t use them now and if the content does come back you’ll be able to get them again. (If you’re really concerned post a list here and we can tell you what you might want to keep.)
Also things like WvW blueprints – you can sell them on the TP, which means you can also buy them. Last time I looked they’re relatively cheap too. So if you’re not going to use them soon you may as well sell them. If you really want them later on you can buy more.
As for keeping it organised that’s really up to you but there’s a few things that might help. For example I have 5 characters and each of them has a bag dedicated to stuff like spare gathering tools, but also things like event skins I’m planning to use on them later but haven’t got the gear for (or they’re not high enough level for) yet. This helps keep it out of my bank and reminds me what I’m planning to do with it.
You could also get a personal bank guild. Create a guild, don’t invite anyone else and just gather enough influence to unlock the bank, then use it to store anything that’s not account bound. I mainly use mine for cooking ingredients and food I’ve made.

Great advice! I especially like the personal bank guild. Thanks for taking the time to write that out. Its helped greatly. Any more tips are welcome! Thanks again
Stop hoarding.
Boosters? Do you use them? Why haven’t you used them?
WvW Siege? Does your server have a strong WvW presence? Does your guild have strong WvW presence? If yes to either, then send the siege to a (trusted) commander. “But I want to place sie-” No. “Bu-” No. 9.9999/10 times, random placement of siege weapons is a detriment to a siege effort. By controlling what siege weapon gets placed where, a commander can make sure he/she has the proper supplies to take down a tower, or even a keep. If no to either, why not make some coin and sell the siege in the TP?
Currency? After the introduction of the character wallet, most other currencies are irrelevant. The same goes to tickets, buttons, etc.
Transmutation Stones? How is this a problem? Why are you hoarding Transmutation Stones? Do you plan to have a low-level alt that will never see level 80 and you plan to have 99 different sets of armour for him/her? If so, carry on.
Here’s an example how you can organize you’r armor atleast. I like it alot. When you press H.
Tried to do the same with Weapons but when you switch from 4 one handers to 2 two handers it all goes to kitten.
This is what I do
Inventory
You get 1 20-slot backpack for free. If you don’t want to buy character inventory expansion slots you will need the largest capacity bags you can afford. in all your default bag slots.
You will want
1 invisible bag to keep armour, weapons, and any other items you do not want to appear when vending to merchants or the TP. This prevents bad mistakes in selling items you need to keep.
1 oiled bag that stores all the ‘junk’ items you collect. This keeps them out the mix with the better loot items until you can vendor them.
1 bag for harvesting tools
1 bag for your boosters, potions, tonics, etc you regularly use
Note: ultimately you will want all 20-slot bags, but start with the size of bags you can afford.
Bank
This is where you keep all soulbound and account bound items you do not need to carry around with you.
What you choose to keep is up to you, but as you advance in the game, this will quickly fill up if you are a pack-rat.
Personal Guild Bank
This is where you keep all non soulbound and account bound items you do not need to access on a regular basis.
Usually this is used for stacks of mats you harvest or refine, fancy loot items you want to keep for the look or for when your toon reaches a certain level.
