Guild Wars 2

Hi!
I’m currently trying to craft my first legendary, Twilight, and I’m stuck at the “research destruction” item of the first collection.

As many of you may know, the event needed is bugged, and have been since forever.
I tried googleing it, but I’m still not sure how to solve this.

Do any of you have hints for me?
Iv’e seen someone mentioning to go to a fresh map, and it may not be bugged. That a large group teamed up and found a map were it worked.
Can anyone help me, maybe some of you need something from that event, and we can team up?
Or is it better to get Dusk another way all togheter? (I would rather not buy it, I want to craft all my way through)

I got mine by getting onto a fresh map where the event hasn’t started. Then I just waited til the NPCs spawned and were ready to go, yelled out on map chat, and escorted them all the way to the door.

I’m not sure if it bugs because the NPCs get downed, or gets into combat with the wrong mob, or just got delayed too much on their journey. Myself and a couple other randoms players were able to make sure none of those things happened.
