Hi folks

Trying to get my head around the ‘been there, done that’ achievement.

My map completion is only 73% – yet the been there, done that box says 73/75 (tier 3 of 4). What exactly do players need for this achievement? I assume 100% map completion has little to do with the achievement?

The achievement is for map completion (specifically for getting all the hearts, vistas, points of interest and skill points in all the maps).

The 73/75 part is because like a lot of achievements it’s divided into tiers with increasing requirements. So to complete tier 3 you need to complete 75% of the map, you’ll then get an achievement pop-up and some points and it will automatically move you on to tier 4 which will show your progress as 75/100.

(There are also explorer achievements for each region of the map which track how many areas you’ve uncovered, but they don’t count towards Been there, done that.)

Also, you’ll need to get all the points, vistas, and waypoints in the four WvWvW maps – watch when your server has the central keep in the Eternal Battlegrounds to get those points. Good luck! I’m currently down to my last 3 maps to finish.

Isn’t been there, done that actually the one going beyond 100% map completion? For there are some areas in different maps which do not count for map completion, but for zone completion tied into this achievement…

The “Been there. Done that.” TITLE is for 100% map completion. There is a difference between 100% world map completion and explorer achievement points. To get the map completion you only need POIs, vistas, and WPs. For explorer achievements, you need to find hidden areas on top of that, like secret tunnels and such. A good place to find info on those is dulfy.net.
