Q:
Benefits of playing PvP and WvW?
pve and pvp are pretty much seperated, they have their own lvls/ranks
in WvW its better to be lvl 80 (pve ) from what i understand though.
WvWvW is a potential alternative to levelling up if you enjoy hitting doors and having sub 5fps. It grants XP and level based loot while also providing a variety of gathering nodes, as there are also events and neutral mobs (i think more than 15types) it is possible to get the entire of your monthly and daily quests without ever going to PvE. On the rare occasion you actually get awarded a player kill you get a token for it which you can spend on higher level gear such as weapons or armor.
SPvP is for people that enjoy skill based PvP where everyone has a level playing field and you can jump right in without 2+weeks of grinding. It provides no benefits to anything outside of SPvP, other than bragging rights, while not taking anything from outside. The points you earn in this are for purchasing different looking gear, it provides no stat bonuses but does look amazing.
also, spvp is really fun.
the benefit is fun

WvW, when done right, is the absolute best experience-gaining in the game. It depends on being with an organized group that’s taking objectives. If you’re running around solo, then you’re not going to get much, and just feed the zergs.
sPvP is fun and easy to advance. I did sPvP just while waiting for the queue to get into WvW, and gained a couple levels. It’s also a great (free) way to test out characters and builds at 80, as you come with a full set of gear, all the skills, and free trait respecs.
wvw during seige defense or small groups that hit an area , get out and hit somewhere else generlly make tons of xp, once you get in a zerg vs zerg stand off its fun as hell but generally the xp rolls in a bit slower
Keep in mind your entire world gets various bonuses for being on top in WvWvW.
It behooves you to stay on top, as it helps everyone.
