Guild Wars 2

So I am Loving guild wars at the moment have made many different characters but I don’t know if I have found the one. I not found a character that just clicks and I feel like that is the one to play. So what am I looking for I believe I am looking for a gun class but then I have problems with all the gun uses in the game.

My Conversion in my head:
I want to make a pirate I say to my self. I want to use a sword and a gun a thief I say. I will be amazing and be all like piratey and stuff. Well the sword is not very good for thief or the bit that I seen.

My next choose is Warrior I will be all at the back shooting them all it will be amazing. It ok nothing special.

I know I will make a engineer, Do they suck with out unseeing turrets.

They may all be good. I don’t know what to do

So as you see I want a class so specific and I just not found one nothing is swaying me too a class maybe the sword is good with thief or the warrior is amazing or the enginer is also good maybe I just suck at the game. Actually that’s probably true. Can someone tell me the best gun class I am finding a hard time looking for it

EDIT: I also like having a auto heal and have used p/p for a thief and that’s pretty good but also meh. I am open to all suggestions if there is reason behind it and not complex reasons just simple its good because reasons.

There’s no real best gun class really, it all depends on your preference.

The class that probably sees the most use of guns are thieves – pistolss are thieves reliable source of single target ranged damage.

You can try out mesmer if you haven’t yet, they can use guns as an offhand and summon pistol phantasms.

I was going to edit to say its about preference. I love the idea of using guns it just seems the most bland to use but the most ascetically appealing to use a gun in a world that seems new to the idea of firearms. I may be just looking at it the wrong was so its just a case of people saying you want to be this because you can do this which is amazing also there is this. That is the type of thing I am looking for though thank you very much for your reply.

Thing is, if you go thief you can get the Piratey themed armour skin from the web store. It looks great apart from the mask.

The thief sword is great but pistols on a thief are horrid (except for maybe P/D). SB is a FAR superior ranged damage

I think a warrior with a rifle and a sword/sword bleed build with some light-looking heavy armor would be your best bet.

Engineer? No. Most of the time you shouldn’t even be using a gun with an engineer. Grenades or bombs are much better especially now that sigils work.
