What is your opinion of the best map to do all the daily achievements at?
Or even the quickest way to do it if it involves more than one map.

60 kills
15 kill variety
20 gathering
5 events

When I want to bang out a daily asap I usually jump an 80 over to metrica. Tons of variety and events.

Anywhere. There’s not really any bad place.

everything except for kill variety is done very quickly in orr.
Gathering is done with ori only. Events are always happening everywhere and there’s million of monsters every inches of land.
but there’s only about 5 type in place like malchor’s leap. So I usually go to a low level area and 1 hit a few things for kill variety.

I’ve never had a problem on Oozes, undead, elementals, ghosts, fish, spiders, and the slew of other mobs you can find in Orr.

Maybe I’m just looking in different places than everyone else?

hit up the 12 ori nodes every day – gathering done
do a single plinx while you’re there – events done
^ – kills done (head to shelter or something if need be)
kill variety is probably best done at metrica if you have to grind it out. (the reactor)

The fish are all risen IIRC, so they dont count. Same with the spiders. There are also no ghosts in cursed shore unless the spectral things count, which I dont think they do.

Risen, elementals and ooze are the only 3 kill varieties available in cursed shore. If you head to malchors you can get ghost from the spirit things I think. But that’s 4 of 15 between both zones.

For easy enemy variety, I just head out north/northwest from the entrance to Lion’s arch in the Gendarran fields. Fireflies, grubs, pirates, skale, bats, boars, centaurs, fish, rabbits etc. are all within a short walk away.

While I tend to do all but kill variety in Orr, the starter zones are very balanced for dailies. Enough events spawn for new players, although they are a bit more spread out than in Orr. Lots of enemy variety and such.

WvW maps are also good, although decidedly more dangerous.

Go to Metrica Province, at the Thaumanova Reactor. There you can at least get the 60 kills and 15 kill variety. By the time you are done, you might encounter some events there, even the fire boss chain. Gathering you can do absolutely anywhere, but as others stated, you might try to farm the ori nodes. And if in the end you’re lacking events, go to Penitent Path in Cursed Shore.

There really is no ideal map. The Orr maps give you quick kills, lots of events and decent gathering all in a tight space, but have no variety. The starter area maps have huge enemy variety, decent gathering, but few events and are somewhat spaced out (and of course you will get less EXP and less well-selling loot on the side).

If the loot and EXP matter to you, I suggest popping into an Orr map for anything but kill variety, and once you are done with all that, take your free port to LA (through the Heart of the Mists) and run out into Gendarran Fields to finish up kill variety.

If the loot and EXP don’t matter to you and you just want to be done as quickly as possible to get your karma, Metrica Province is indeed a gold mine of mob variety, can have enough events if your timing isn’t bad, plus pretty decent gathering on the way.
