I’m a few mastery points short so I decided to go through some of what looked like the easier ones to get, namely Koutalophile. I already have the bone and fractal spoons, the rest seem okay, but I’m a bit confused on the siege commander’s spoon.
I’m new to WvW and just spent a few hours in the Edge of the Mists hoping for the spoon to drop. According to the wiki it drops from NPCs in WvW, but I was just wondering if there was an “ideal” place to spend my time waiting for it to drop? EotM? EB? Borderlands? Specific enemies to focus on? Most of the topics about this are over a year old, so I’m not sure if things have changed since then in terms of drop rate, etc.
EotM and EB are similar, it all depends on which map your team is currently active on (has a commander tag with a zerg of your allies going around to capture forts). I got mine from sieging a fort, it dropped from the castle lord about a few hours in (can’t remember exactly how many hours, but it just dropped randomly when I was having fun taking the fort). Just remember to press F (or whatever your Interact key is) every time you kill something to loot.
Okay, thanks for the clarification. I haven’t seen any scouts or lords in EotM but maybe I haven’t been paying enough attention. It’s usually just vets and champs. Anyway, I’ll keep at it there and hopefully the spoon will drop eventually.

I just wanted to make sure and ask other players who have gotten the spoon drop, and to get a concise answer of “yes, EotM” or “no, go here instead”. Hence this topic.

Oh, I actually forgot to say where I got it in my earlier post. I did get it from the castle lord in EotM.
It was really memorable to me because I pinged it in map chat. Our commander left, and everyone was spamming me “you pinged the spoon so you’re the commander now”. And I was around Lvl 6 in WvW and had no clue what I was doing.

I don’t play EotM since it is a pve map with some wvw content, and not what wvw is about. Before the changes with the spoon in wvw you got several every day from everywere in wvw pretty much. But after it was only tied to the achievement and one time only drop i can only guess the spoon still drops from Lords and the like, which should be easy to get one if you for example join the Eternal Battleground around primetime (7-8 in the evening).
