I’m working on getting the Satchel of Apothecary Exalted Armor from the mystic forge and I need an insane amount of Karka Shells (180).
Where is the best place to farm them?

Also I’ve heard MF dosen’t affect increase their drop rate? Can anyone verify that?

Take a mesmer with a focus offhand, the focus trait and feedback, then go to southsun cove and watch the karka kill themselves.

Why make the satchel is you are already short on shells? It’s not like you save on any materials …

Honestly If you want to get the armor fastest just run CoF and buy them off the TP it will be a lot quicker than trying to get them as loot. If you don’t want to buy them then i would say run around with a group and kill them I’m not sure if magic find will help with these.
Edit: as gummibear said if magic find doesn’t help then it would hurt your kill time because you would be throwing away one of your stats. Looking through the Wiki on magic find it looks like it should help you get more.

actually is mf dont help then yes it will hurt since you be sacrifising other stas ie you will have less survivability or less DPS

warrs have pretty nice reflection for kharkas too… initiate with mace+shield (2 blocks; mace 2 wont activate its counter unless you’re in melee range), then you can switch to another weapons for damage (why not axe/sword for another block?)

Why would you need antoher block? it is only really the opening volley they make that really hurt a lot, once you survive that volley they are easy to take down, specially if you reflected it as it should take over 50% of their health if i remember right

Guardians have one reflect wall if I remember right. That made my day easier.

Come to Baruch’s Bay, spanish server in Europe, and join the Karka Train. There is a group of people farming t6 blood and karka shells there almost 24/7… they look like bots, but they are not >.< You have to be quick, though, Karka’s are almost instakilled…
