Best class overall for Greatsword
Every class that uses it has a pretty standard build for it except a lot of reapers don’t use it.
GS is anets favorite weapon, so if you can equip one, chances are it’s an excellent choice. Mesmer, warrior, ranger, guardian.
I still like the Greatsword on my Necro/Reaper. Out of all the classes that can use it, only my Ranger doesn’t carry one.
Greatsword on guardian feels best to me, all the skills like the warm fuzziness of enemies. You get a leap, two whirls, an aoe pull, and a light field. Lots of cleavage here…

Even though the balance patch is coming quite soon, u believe warrior can still be used in pvp effectively? I mean, i see a lot of them around still but, a lot of people say they are in a pretty bad spot in pvp atm. The warriors ive fought with ele and rev didnt seem to stand a chance… and im not at all good at pvp lol (then again they may have not been the best players either.).
Well warriors aren’t wanted in PvP at all, but if you want to play one, berserker GS is good. And there is no way anet is going to keep warriors out of the PvP meta for long, warriors are sort of the poster boy for GW.
For PvE
1st – Warrior
2nd – Guardian
3rd/4th : Necro, Ranger
5th : Mesmer
For PvP
1st/2nd : Mesmer, Guardian
3rd/4th/5th : Necro, Ranger, Warrior

Do mesmers still use GS in PvP? They do in WvW, but I mostly see chrono bunkers with 1h sword and staff. I am not a mesmer player though. Guardians use LB and 1h sword mostly as well.
Rangers are far and away the best and most meta in PvP with GS. I’ve never seen any necro use a GS in PvP, and warriors if they exist are probably using GS and rifle.
