Best class to start Fractals with?
You don’t have one, but everyone seems to want a Necro because they make fractals easy.
Do you have HoT? If you do, I would unlock the entire druid spec on your ranger. A healer will usually be welcomed in fractals, and your GotL stacks will increase groupwide damage as well. If not, I prefer mesmer because I like the utilities they have. You can use it to share quickness and alacrity to your group, but its less effective with pugs (at least in lower tiers)
Only have a 1/3 of Druid unlocked so far, and my Necro is still L20-something…

Fractals depends most on:
- Understanding the mechanics.
- Understanding your prof.
It does not depend much on which prof you choose.
In other words, bring your mesmer or your warrior. Learn the mechanics and learn how your prof can contribute effectively. For mesmer, that’s eventually going to include a lot of weapon/skill changing and probably some trait changing. For warrior, it’s going to be some skill changes and (depending on how good or poor your team is) some weapon swaps.
(Some fights depend more on this and less on that, hence the need to swap things around sometimes.)

Any class you’re comfortable with is the best class to start with.
I do T4’s every day. And often also some lower lvl ones. I am yet to find a class that dont work in fractals. I do however recommend to learn what your class do. What kind of skills do you have etc.
It always saddens me when I see an ele that dont know what blind is (glyph of storms in earth attunement) or a guard that dont use wall of reflection when an enemy use ranged attacks on your group.
We all need to learn what our class do, and low lvl fracs are a good place. But pls spend 2 min. to mouse over your skill and read what it do ^^
