Best condition gear non-HoT?
Well probably sinister since that’s LS2. Maybe mixed with core stats for some pieces but I’m not sure.
Well, if you do not even have the time to play a meta on a HoT map, some LS3 content or WvW/PvP aka one hour on the piece at any day, you should maybe consider a different kind of game than a MMORPG.

This game offers the ENGINEER class, quite unlike any game I’ve played with the exception of maybe Half-Life? It keeps me coming back for more.
I usually do a combination of unranked PvP, and map events an hour or two a day, which is why I was thinking karma gear?

Isn’t there an armor set that allows you to select sinister stats?

Yes but it’s essentially a grind if you can get past the anxiety some people have with playing against others.

I would probably just go with giver’s weapons and then whatever other condi gear is most convenient to get. Not so great for fractals since it limits you to exotic weapons though.
before sinister, and the HoT stats, I used rampager gear (prec, condi, power), it’s not too bad. you can pick up an exotic set for karma at the balthazar temple in straits if you want to give it a try.
