Best map(s) for the daily achievement?
Eternal Battleground (WvW)
Or any of the starter areas really. There are enough in all of them as far as I know.
Krall Peterson – Warrior
Piken Square
A lot of people tend to use the starter zones for this as there is a wide variety of easily killable enemies, lots of mats which aren’t crawling with risen, and a good, regular cycle of short or chained DE’s. I know a few people who have an alt parked in their favoruite starter zone just to do their daily with.
tl:dr – pick your favourite starter zone!

I use caledon forest. Typically get my daily done within 10-15 minutes.
I usually go to the Thaumanova Reactor in Metrica for all my dailies (apart from gathering, which I do in the surrounding area) all kinds of different enemies spawn there, the event chain that goes through the area is enough to complete it, and its fun.
like Lexy said, starter zones are good places to do them in, and Metrica just happens to be my favourite one.

Personally if I am just trying to get it done ASAP, I just exist south of Lion’s Arch. Right to the left of the entrance there is a farmer there waiting to give you a quest, then to the right the lionsguard give you a 3 quest chain. After that, you can go south into the water and hit 1 of 2 quests. The water is full of ore (gold at that), and just make sure to kill all of the enemies (including critters along the way). At this point, you should have something like 12/15 types of enemies and everything else done. If you continue south or southeast, you can find a few other enemies (sharks, electric fish, bandits, risen, etc.) to fill your quota. I often go home for my 30 minute lunch and do my dailies that way.
Not many people go into that area anymore, so the quest givers are generally all just sitting there waiting for you.
BTW everyone, I’ve never really bothered with Dailies so far. What’s the reward for doing them?
Cheers.

Silver, XP, Mystic Coins for the Mystic Forge, Karma Jug that provides 4500 Karma (boostable with the different consumables and banners etc.) and occasionally some of the other gemstore items (transmutation stones, mystic forge stones etc.). Definitely worth doing them everyday since it doesn’t take that long.

Wow. That’s really good. I’ll get on them next time I’m on and see what I can get done.
Cheers.

Never had problems finding the needed types in any area. Keep in mind that the ‘friendly’ rabbits, frogs, mosquitoes count as well…

Between the dailies and the monthly (PvE), you can get 180,000+ karma (+ whatever % boost you get from the booster) per month without all that much work on the whole. Nothing to sneeze at even if karma’s value is debatable.

To me the daily is a small chore to be done quickly and got out of the way. If I am actually adventuring they usually get finished without any effort, otherwise I jump to Plains of Ashford (Charr starter area) and complete them (there seems to be more events going on there at the front of the zone, as well as 15 enemy types)
i find caledon forest pretty fun and quick. make a circular path around the zone, and for the 5/5 events, there’s those “turn you into a crab/moa/etc to do battle”, and i think there are 5 of those on the same side of the map. plenty of nodes are in there, as well. if the battle events aren’t your thing, there’s the mosquito/firefly essence ones just outside of the grove, around the trading post NPCs there.
kill anything that can be attacked and you can rack up 60 kills in a few minutes or less being lv80 (2-5 shotting things is quick)
getting the variety kills might be tougher, though. i have had no problems though
The tournament event in Gendarran fields is awesome for getting 2 fast events plus a lot of kill variety
Thanks for the replies
I was in Orr for too long, so I couldn’t even remember that there are other things like Risen outside of dungeons.
