What would be the best class/build to use free ascended sinister jewellery set you get if you farm Lumi armor? (well free – technically – you have to get it if you want Lumi armor so I suppose it can be called that….

In WvW engineers and rangers have quite good use for it, both have good hybrid builds.

I think people who run them don’t much like posting in the forums, because they get shot down by others.

I know several PvE mesmers who like sinister stats and I’m trying that out myself, although I have to admit, it’s tough retraining my playstyle from burst to damage over time. In dungeons, I still prefer power builds, while in silverwastes I’m finding a use for scepter/pistol of all things. Too soon to tell if I like it better or if it’s even effective enough.

It is kinda sad AN did this big patch to brake Zerker meta only to fail horribly
1 op condition will prolly get shafted, rest is still weak and Zerker is still equip to go…

Silverwastes is a great place to use a condition build. DISCLAIMER: IMO.

Seems I kill those mobs faster by piling up conditions than by direct damage. Or maybe it is just more fun.

P.S. I still hate teragrifs with an overwhelming passion! Their knockdown has too wide a path and when they gang up 3-4 at a time.. Geesh!

Ranger: traps / torch
Mesmer: torment/confusion on shatters
Necromancer: just about anything, honestly. avoid minions.
Guardian: burning traited to exploit said condition
Engi: pistol/bomb kit roamer
Elementalist: fire/earth condi convert fire fields burning bleeds
Thief: shared venoms dual dagger spike
Warrior: sword/axe/horn bleed focus

Tossed them all on my engy plus made him some sinister armor and weapons.
WvW: Soooo much fun.. so fragile.. but anything ignoring me dies unless it’s one of those annoying run away wars. Stealth and blind spam anything on me (mostly thieves), tanky enemies generally die before doing anything.
PvE: Everything just melts.

I use mine on my S/S – GS Silverwastes Warrior.
Likely not the best, but it works for me.

Basically, Sinister is the condition ‘zerk’, so use them on something which abuses conditions.

I don’t think the patch was done to break zerker meta. There are a variety of reasons the patch was done, and I strongly suspect that it had very little, if anything at all, to do with the zerker meta.

The “zerker meta” is a response to current game systems and designs.
Sinister is a reasonable alternative/addition if a class can use it, especially now that condi’s have been reworked.
