Best way to farm experience for masterys?
Yeah do them twice a day, there is no diminishing returns on experience as far as I know. If you need experience from central Tyria, I think the Citadel of Flame brazier farm still works.
Remember to load up on the various XP bonuses too

Also the new LS3 maps give a fair amount of HoT experience. Not sure how active Bloodstone Fen is recently, but I remember getting a good amount of XP by repeatedly taxiing into Jade event maps.

Anyone know what experience boosters stack?

Anyone know what experience boosters stack?
In general, every booster that has a different Buff icon stacks additive.
You can stack Food, Utility, Guild Bonus, Fireworks, Campfire, Gem Boosters… In total you can accrue something around 100%+ bonus XP, coupled with other neat boni.
If you enjoy just mindlessly tooting around killing things to relax after work, I definitely recommend the above suggestions to use a bunch of boosters. I had my masteries completely maxed like… weeks after HoT launched just by killing things in my way instead of running past them. I found that enjoyable, and you get some reasonable loot when you kill thousands of trash mobs. You can get more experience from a single out-out-the-way monster than you can for an entire event.
You definitely need to be in glass gear though or be like super into zen rock gardens.
Here is something I posted a while back about gaining xp for masteries. I listed the boosters, how to obtain them, how long they last, and if they stack.
Ok, I just logged on the game to check and make sure these all stacked still, as I haven’t used them since the initial HoT release XP grind. Here is what I personally used.
- Lunar New Year Fireworks – 10% (5 mins each firework and stacks up to 2 hours, bought on TP.)
- Lucky Guild Fireworks – 5% bonus from kills (5 mins each firework and stacks up to 2 hours, bought on TP.)
- Spicy Pumpkin Cookie – 15% (bought on TP.)
- Powerful Potion of Slaying Scarlet’s Armies – 15% (bought on TP.)
- Celebration Booster or Birthday Booster – 100% (Do not stack in XP gain, but rather time duration. Celebration Boosters last an hour and are obtained via monthly log in rewards or BL Chests. Birthday Boosters last 24 hours and are obtained via character birthdays.)
- Experience Booster (New) – 50% with up to an additional 100% bonus XP from kill streaks (Obtained via the Gemstore or BL Chests for 2 hours, the laurel vendor for 30 minutes, or old WvW rank up chests for 20 mins. Stacks in time duration.)
- Experience Booster (Old) – 50% from kills (Can no longer be obtained, but does stack XP rather than duration.)
- Heroes Banner or any banner with XP – 10% from kills (Obtained via trading in guild commendations, crafting via the Scribing profession, or stumbling across banners throughout Tyria nice guilds have dropped.)
- Guild XP Gain – 10% (Obtained via the Tavern in guild halls. 10% is the max and percentage is based on Tavern upgrades to my best knowledge. Free and lasts 24 hours.)
Now, in the off chance some person still has one of these lucrative things lingering in a bank….and that’s a big IF….these stack as well. I used the last of mine getting my XP for HoT.
- Communal Boost Bonfire – 50% (No longer can be obtained, but man I miss ’em, Anet!)
And with my lengthy list coming to a conclusion, I hope this helps you! These all still stack and, again, this is personally what I used. I did not check the Wiki, so I might have missed something else that stacks. Keep in mind some boosters are given as rewards from completed personal story quests in the core game. Good luck and happy hunting.
