Best way to turn dugeons tokens in gold?

4 dungeon pieces makes one salveageable piece. Maybe even consider exchanging tokens for rare armor, use MF and then and salvage for the better price/ecto rate ? (last one is an assumption though)
Edit: Skip th MF part to make salvageable gear…I made the mistake assuming Dugneon gear wasn’t mah bad! XD

Dungeon pieces aren’t salvageable anymore? When did this happen?
I use my excessive tokens to purchase greatswords and gamble at the mystic forge, you never know when it’ll happen and you get a pre (no luck so far though)
Otherwise the best consistent method is to purchase the least expensive armour/weapon pieces and salvage them with black lion or mystic kits for insignias/inscriptions. And yes, they are salvageable.
Buy weapons with stats that have no craftable inscription/insignas (PVT, CPT etc…) and recycle them using a black lion kit.
2/3 of the time you’ll get a sweet inscription that you can sell for a few gold on the TP.
for level 65+, I convert gold to ectos. Don’t know if it’s the best way, though, but since i had thousands of arah tokens, I made about 1k ectos.
AC: Salvage exotics for Soldiers or Magi inscriptions/insignias. (whichever is more)
CM: Salvage for Rabid or Shaman.
TA: Salvage for Rabid or Magi
SE: Salvage for Soldiers
CoF: There are no insignias here, buy the cheapest rares and salvage for Ectos, or buy 4 of a weapon and forge.
HotW: Salvage for Rabid, Magi, or Soldiers; or salvage cheap rares for ectos
CoE: Salvage for Dire; or salvage cheap rares for ectos
Arah: Salvage for Rabid; or salvage cheap rares for ectos.
Salvaging dungeon gear still works perfectly fine.
Till last week, i used to buy 30 token yellow helmets, and salvage them with the mystic salvage kit (with 250 uses). I used to get nearly 1 ecto per armor piece.
The point is that i have 5 Black Lion Salvage Kits, and i am considering trying to salvage exotic token weapon/armors for the increased amount of ectos, and for the inscriptions/insignias you can sell in the tp…
I will never throw exotics in the mystic toilet again waiting for a pre… such a huge amount of lost tokens…

For TA/CM/HotW and Arah if you have the recipes such as Bloodstone Fragment, Plague or Nightmare coil it’s more profitable to make those and sell than to salvage for insignias etc.
Arah tokens can also buy undead slaying potion for ~2s after tp fees per token which is slightly better than what you would get in terms of ectos from tokens if you don’t mind clicking.

- Buying level 68+ rares to salvage with MSK for ectos gives about 1s30c / token (@ 40s/ecto).
- Buying exotics and salvaging with MSK for inscription/insignia gives about 1s20c / token (@ 40s/ecto + 3g/inscription + 1g/DM).
- There are also crafting and MF recipes that call for the Gifts or Offerings, you’ll have to explore these to see how well they are doing and what you have available to you for each dungeon; around 1s/token.
Regarding forging:
Rares: they basically replace a rare you would buy from the TP. You could buy rares from the TP for maybe 30s? that would mean about 1s/token. It also depends if you want to gamble or have near-guaranteed profits. remember to be sure to mix levels to have a 75 average to have highest chance of a precursor.
Exotics: similar, it replaces an exotic you would otherwise buy from the TP. However, exotics that can give insignia/inscriptions sell for more on the TP than ones that don’t. I think you could buy exotics-to-forge for about 1g? so 210 tokens = 1g -> 47c/token. again, if you prefer gambling or guaranteed.
All dungeon tokens except CoF have exotics that can be salvaged to get insignia/inscriptions.
My recommendation:
If the rares are level 68 or higher, buy the 30-token light armor rares and salvage with a MSK.
If the rares are lower than level 68, buy the 180-token exotic light armor and salvage with a MSK (the lower token price makes it slightly better).
The above is a general guideline. Here is some exact numbers for prices right now:

Like other ppl said. Buying rare gear (light is better for silk) from CoF, CoE, HotW and Arah and salvaging them will give you ectos.
For AC, SE, CM and TA, buying exotics and salvaging them is the best options.
One method that nobody talked about here is dungeon recipe. By doing dungeon, you can loot some special dungeon recipe. Those recipe are account bound so the item that you can craft from them are in limited numbers and can sell pretty high. But its highly dependant on which recipe you get. Some recipe will cost money to craft, other will give you a higher profit than salvaging armor from dungeon token.
You just need to be lucky enough to get some of these good dungeon recipe.
Certain dungeon recipes are great, if you get them to drop. They are just insanely rare.
Every dungeon runner in my guild has at least 250 or more repeats in the Hobby Dungeon Explorer track, running all paths regularly except SE2 and Arah4, and in total each of us has only gotten 2-5 recipes (some duplicates)

Recipe are linked to specific path and sometimes you need to complete something in particular to have that reward. For exemple, you can’t have the SE recipe of path 1 without killing the Commander next to the boss (don’t remember the name). Since nobody kill her, the recipe never drop.
But true. These recipe are rare. And if they were not, they would give zero profit.
