Hey peeps I’m still kinda new but I think I found which character I want to play through with. I was wondering what your opinions on the best weapon/weapon combination for a Necro would be. I like the heavy condition effects on the Necro that still has a decent amount of damage

Scepter for conditions, definitely. Off-hand is something you choose of course, it’s not as important.
Staff for a lot of aoe. Most necros have staff as secondary weapon, although I really like it for the piercing and aoe.

You could try the Necromancer forums if you need help, might be more response there.

The staff is best for AoE. And in a small group the scepter can be good.
However, if you are fighting in a large group (say 15+), you’ll note that conditions get capped at 25. For those situations, I recommend the axe and a dagger offhand.
