Best weapon sigil to maximize DPS?
Northern Shiverpeaks
From wiki: static bonus sigils stack with themselves when used on dual-wielded weapons, except for Superior Sigil of Force and Superior Sigil of Accuracy.
You should also consider on-kill bonus sigils: Sigil of Bloodlust and Sigil of Perception.
- You gain + 10 power/precision each time you kill a foe. (max 25 stacks and ends on down)
For max dps start with weapon that has Sigil of Bloodlust or Sigil of Perception. When you have got max stack(25) swap to weapon that has Sigil of Force or Sigil of Accuracy.
About Fire vs Force it depends on your profession, build, and weapon set ie. skills. Fire is more useful on AoE situations (if your crit rate is high enough to proc it). Force is static.
Fire is terrible.
Force is a static, reliable 5%+ damage and doesn’t have an internal cooldown.

Thank you for the responses, as they basically confirmed what I was suspecting myself.
The only reason I was considering fire is because I like to fool around with a shroud cannon necro build occasionally, and I figured the sigil of fire would help in 1vX fights in wvw
After more testing I’ve figured out that it’s much more efficient to kite and burst 1 dude down instead of trying to kill both attackers at the same time, so sigil of force seems like the way to go, coupled with a sigil of accuracy.

If your a dungeon runner (like me), i run a mix of perception, night and accuracy. Only CM and Arah are daytime dungeons so running sigil of night is almost always better for dungeons. Though i personally have separate set of weapons for arah (because i run it the most) with undead slaying on them.
Example
My Guardian
Sword – sigil of night
Focus – Sigil of accuracy
Staff – Perception
Gs – sigil of Night
hard enough to make them cry, not just rivers but oceans."
you can just run force + dungeon sigill
or night + dungeon sigill.
btw. force + force stacks as far as i know.
Force+Force do not stack.
+10% damage vs kraits on underwater weapons.
Force+Force do not stack.
wiki says it does not stack, but try it out.
Depends what your planning on doing rly. I usually run dungeons, so sigil of night makes sense. However If i’m doing something like wvw i’d probly switch it out for force. Unfortunately sigils dont stack, however on your offhand you can use a dungeon-specific sigil (for total of +20% dmg on both). Say if I’m on robot duty for CoE P1, I’d go axe/axe with night and seeking (10% dmg vs. inquest) sigils.

I need clarification here. Are you saying one Force and one Accuracy do not stack together, or two Forces or two Accuracy do not stack?

If I understand your question correctly, two Forces or two Accuracy do not do stack. So if have axe/axe both with the same sigils (force) you would only get a +5% crit dmg bonus total. Same thing with really any two of the same sigils, they don’t stack at all. However, I believe the wiki is wrong (If I’m understanding its meaning correctly). If you have a mainhand with force and offhand with accuracy, they should both stack, giving you a 5% crit dmg and 5% crit chance.
This is the same reason why I run a sigil of night on my mainhand for all dungs, and on my offhand I have something else, for instance a sigil of battle or energy or a dungeon-specific sigil If I just need solid DPS (since 2 sigils of the nights don’t stack). However, be careful with having both on-hit (or any cooldown) sigils for dual-wielding since both share the both cooldowns. So say you have Sigil of Fire and Energy on your mainhand/offhand weps. The energy would trigger 1st (on wep swap) and the sigil of fire would only be able to activate after the cooldown.
