Black Lion Trading Company is buggers. Still.
I had also that problem everything is empty, and now somehow it feels like it’s kinda bugged or something. This now what it looks like on me.
You have it better than me… but not by much.
same problem if its bug i hope they can fix coz other people can access black trading or it just arena net limiting other subscribers who do not load up cash
It is a bug. There is no way for me to give them more $$$ if they don’t let me purchase gems or goods from them.
Sad part is it has been plaguing people for weeks and they aren’t doing much (anything) about it.
I get various “odd” behaviours with the BLTC, but they usually resolve with a restart of GW2. Are you running GW2 as an “Administrator”?
I think I saw something to that effect elsewhere.

The BLTC works like a custom web browser and is subject to limitations similar to what you see for a website without permitting scripts to run, e.g. you might see the interface but without any item details or have a greyed out “buy” button.
There are things you can adjust at your end that will address this:
- Run GW2 as an administrator. See: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/tech/Configuring-User-Account-Control-UAC
- Make sure your anti-malware program isn’t blocking the TP’s “awesomonium_process.exe” (in effect, the custom web browser). See: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/tech/Configuring-AVG (that’s for AVG, but similar techniques apply to other anti-malware).
- Make sure your firewall isn’t blocking GW2 or the awesomonium_process. Sometimes restarting your router fixes this.
As noted above, restarting GW2 often resolves some/all issues (it’s the quickest and most reliable way to restart the awesomonium_process).
If none of the above helps your situation, then I strongly recommend you contact support. They will help you to troubleshoot the issue (which often involves asking you to run some diagnostic tests).
Although you can find other posts of people who have persistent issues connecting to BLTC, it’s relatively rare for players generally. In other words, it’s more likely the solution to the issue is on the client end, not on ANet’s.
well i tried everything from the link. im not using avg im using avast but its impossible avast block gw2 when everythings work fine before, or the problem is the compatibility my OS is windows 7 but the on the gw2.exe it is using windows xp service pack 3 i dont want to change anything coz im afraid it will affect my system even if i checked run as an administrator BLTC still not work…..
I’m running win 7 x64 pro, sp1 … that’s not the problem.
Do you have windows fully patched up?

no not yet and i don’t have any idea about patching windows 7… do i need to download it? cos usually it updates automatically… these are the available compatibility program
@Snow: then you should contact support so they can help you troubleshoot.
(By the way: it’s not GW2 that gets blocked or interrupted — it’s the awesomonium process, a separate program spawned by GW2. If GW2 runs with admin rights, then so well awesomonium. If GW2 doesn’t. then your BLTC might not function properly.)
yeah that’s the best solution
I have no idea why you would want to run in compatability mode either. Run it native.

1. Precisely the same issue. Trading screen blank, apart from a barely visible message about Error & access;
2. Worry as previous visit to black lion yesterday I also paid out gems for a purchase that was not received even though it appeared on the most recent purchases list.
@Cervaux: if you can, ask a friend in the States to buy you a gemcard and use the code from that, so that you don’t have to wait until after Wintersday to make your purchases.
@Moonglum: be sure to delete all your email from your in-game mailbox — BL purchases are mostly delivered via mail and it can get blocked even by a few emails. Also, a number of players have posted that they have seen delays as long as 24-48 hours between purchase and receiving the goods. (My impression is that delays that long are usually related to a full inbox, but it could also be a queuing problem.)
@Snow & Moonglum: if you have tried the tips above without any luck, you really need to contact support — they are the only ones who can help you resolve the issue.
Wow & i thought i was the only one.
Oh i also have this problem of the BUY button not being active once i set the amount & per unit pricing… Too much of a hassle to restart the whole game…

Yeah, I figured my only recourse would be to ask a friend. >< I was just hoping there was a less indirect solution. Thanks though illconceived.
well the client start to work fine for me and starts downloading now thanks for the help and technical support of ncsoft staff, ihope once i log in the BLTC works properly
I have been running my client as administrator from the beginning of launch. The only time I have had issues with the BLTP is when:
1. Mumble overlay was implemented (no longer using this since it got broken).
2. About once a week or so (no reason since this occurs in such odd moments there is no rhythm to this happening).
What I discovered is that on occasion, my client loses connection with the game. When this happens, my mouse and keyboard stop working as well. My character just stands there and does not move.
Most often loss of connectivity occurs during or shortly after a very high intensive activity like a fight or dungeon run with a lot of graphics movement on screen.
Why it happens is anyone’s guess but it does. My only fix is to restart the game. Usually that works, but every once in a while I have to completely reboot my system to fix it.
And why does so much depend upon local client instead of server side, I do not know. I have not experienced this in other games so no idea why GW2 only.

Funny, I have had this problem since BLTC was implemented. I have seen multiple posts about this problem and ANet never responds to them. Its sad actually, I am holding out for the big Jan-Feb patch. If that does not fix it I will probably just quit the game. Logging out and back in is getting old and tiresome. Lets make an in game browser AH with no refresh button. Seems legit.
