Anyone know the best way to farm T5 or T6 blood? I need 250 for my ascended quiver. (I learned too late I could have gotten a cheap MF back and transmuted the stats over last month.)

It takes a long, long time to farm for a particular type of mat, especially 250 of them. You might be better off farming in general or running dungeons for gold and whatever mats you get, selling the drops and using the gold you get to buy what you want.

If you want to farm the blood, the skelks in Southsun are ok. There are a lot of them and they drop T5 and occasional T6 blood. Back when I used to farm them I might get 1 or 2 T6 blood an hour, averaging over several hours.

Are you sure it is no longer possible to craft http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/There_with_Yakkington:_A_Traveler%27s_Tale ? It doesn’t mention anything about no longer being available.

I would go to southsun for the blood if I wanted to be direct but champion farming in frostgorge is probably faster. Even with the worse possible drops from the champ boxes it should be around 4 champs per vial of powerful blood.

I’m actually not sure about that. The price of claws is still 5 silver or so less than blood so that would save me 12.5 gold! Only thing is, it would really suck if I built it and it had one of the new different stat types on it…

Try Ice Flow Waypoint in Frostgorge Sound. The skelks to the south of there drop T5 & T6 bloods regularly. As long as that isn’t the only way you’re planning on getting your bloods (buying is of course quicker), you should be able to reduce your costs by spending a little while there now and again.

1st skelk I killed there gave me one, and the drops are not too bad. Too bad there aren’t more of them. I tried killing that bunch, then head north to fight more. Had a bit of luck so far. Southsun has also been good.

All T6 mats are bout the same price (except dust thats slightly lower atm). So you might as well farm all T6 mats , sell the ones you dont need to buy blood.

Best way to generally farm T6 mats:
a: Daily/monthly – use the laurels for t6 mats containers.
b: level 80 lootbags and direct drops in Cursed shore, Southsun cove and forstgorge
c: champ lootboxes (champtrain in frostgorge)
