Hello,

due to my unusual farming methods I’m well off on all other materials for ascended gear. And I was wondering if there’s anything more time efficient than dungeon running. I dont care about the fun part as farming – no matter how it is actually done – is dull. So I just want to get through it as fast as possible. Still better than doing it in WvW…

So here’s my question: Do the silverwastes or Orr or boss trains give you more bloodstone dust? Or shall I stick to CoE p1-3 24/7?

Champ bags give tons of this stuff. The Frostgorge Sound farm will give you all you need. The meta event ‘Breaking the Ice’ as well as the other Champs will do it just fine.

The Silverwastes will also give you some. The Heirloom Seeds and Embroidered Coin Purses that you get there from killing bosses & opening the Lost Bandit Chests will also supply Bloodstone.

World Boss train is also possible. Anything that gives you champ bags will flood you with Bloostone Dust. You will likely pick up more additional funds from Dungeon running, however.

I don’t even want to think about how many stacks of this stuff I have destroyed…..

If you’ve already done a bit of stuff in the Silverwastes and have a decent supply of bandit crests to trade for Bandit Skeleton Keys, I’d say your best bet would be finding a chest farming map in SW via the LFG tool. You can get 40 or so champ bags each “rotation” (one bag per bandit chest you open) and it takes maybe a half hour or so.

Silverwastes works very well even if it isn’t a chest farm map. Just did a vinewrath earlier and that was 9 champ bags then 4 more from the bandit chests near the vinewrath. Could have gotten another 4+ from the mordrem champions. If I had also done the breach there would have been several more bags.

Buy Trick or treat bags off TP and lost bandit treasures in Silver Wastes..purrfect!

Is there any use for Bloodstone Dust/Emp Frags/Dragonite Ore- besides ascended crafting? I’ve probably destroyed well over 5000 of each in the last month ‘cause I just don’t have the bank space!

You can feed Bloodstone Dust to the Dry Top Ascended back piece for some minor loot, but I’m not aware of anything for the other 2 (they weren’t as plentiful as the dust early on).

There are also some MF recipes that use Dust now.

Silverwastes all the way. I delete at least a stack or 2 a day from doing a couple of runs. Same for the others as well. Not as much dragonite, or empyreal stars, but still more than I ever care to have.

1 hour of silverwastes chest farming gives you around 1 – 2 stacks of each.
