What happens to the boss timers after a patch?

All in-game timers (that the players cannot see) are reset, so all of your favorite online timer tools are thus rendered inaccurate. Any follow-up patches also reset the in-game timers. Give it a few hours for things to reset or do some community service and camp a boss for your server!

Also the Maw’s spawn timer was permanently increased. The patch notes make reference of the triggering dynamic event now happening less often. This means that the Maw will be far more rare.
