Budget gw2 desktop build
Do you need a KB/M/Monitor or do you have those already?

I’m sure you know this already but you can run GW2 on, like, a T1-86 calculator from 1997. I can’t remember how old my desktop is, but it’s fairly old, and I run GW2 on max settings with no issues what-so-ever.
Ok, well first and foremost I strongly recommend that whatever build you go with you get an intel processor. GW2 absolutely hates AMD cpu’s… a $60 intel pentium will outperform a $200 amd processor.
Since you have a 500-700 budget I recommend either getting the new skylake i3 or i5. For the GPU I’d probably get an r9 380, which is still overkill for a game like GW2 but it’s worth it imo.
The calculator comment killed me lmao.I haven’t played gw2 for two years because I used to be stuck running it on something that ran it 15-20 Fps. I don’t have a monitor or keyboard but I wasn’t having it included in price. Thanks for all the comments! I’ll make sure to get a Intel cpu.

This is at the top of your budget but it’s a good all-around computer. In general you should be able to play any game on the market at good settings at 1080P.
If you want to keep it closer to $600, go for this:

Getting the i5 build is probably worth it in the long run, though.

Okay so I guess I will order the $700 version you shared. Before I order how do I make sure all the parts will fit in the case, and would an ssd help? Whatever it is. I haven’t even seen the inside of a computer so this will be a learning experience for me.

Like I said before, you should really go to the subreddit BuildAPC and talk to them so you don’t screw up

An SSD will help with loading times, which is nice, but it’s hardly necessary. I would suggest that you don’t get one unless you’re willing to bump up your budget. Everything listed will fit fine; all of the parts are standardized, so all you need to worry about is that he case will support a fullsized motherboard (it will) and that the CPU convert will have enough clearance (it will).
Make sure to watch a video telling you how to put the computer together before you do anything; newegg has an excellent one on YouTube. Besides that, if you’re careful it’s pretty easy as long as you take your time

The advice here will be of the same quality when it comes to build suggestions- some good, some bad. He’s fine not going there.

Thank you for all the help! I wanted to ask on here because I thought you guys would know more of what I should build for guild wars, which is probably going to be about all I use the computer for.
