Hi, I’m using a ranger character but whenever I complete a map or area, I seem to only get light armors when rangers use medium armors. Is the items meant to be random or is my account bugged? Thanks

Items are random as far as I can tell. You’re at the mercy of the RNG.
Random. I’ve gotten maybe 2-3 items that my class can use from map completion, most of it vendor trash.
