Guild Wars 2

Is there any website out there that has good information on builds for different classes in the game? I searched around and only found really outdated sites. So If there is a popular one people are using I would appreciate any links.

Did you have a particular profession in mind? These forums also have guide write-ups that are worth reading.

I would recommend staying away from builds that are posted on build sites since the majority of those are just people messing around. I’ve looked at nearly all of the builds posted and only a handful of them could teach me anything. I wouldn’t suggest spending the amount of time it took me to realize the same.

You’re much better off sticking to the official profession sub-forums and using sites like the Wiki for specific info.

As far as build calculators go, here is the one that I’ve been using without any issues since near release…

This one just came onto the market about 1 month ago and I’m very interested in trying it since it’s the only one set up for PvE gear…

The following were all up-to-date for the most part prior to the Feb 28th patch but I can’t speak as to whether or not they’ve been updated since. I only used them enough to know that the first one that I linked was better but that’s just my opinion…

EDIT: There are at least 3 others that I didn’t even bother to link as they’re just not worth it. Having said that, there’s always a chance that I missed 1 or 2 so if someone comes across one that I didn’t link and feels that it’s worthy then please post so that I can check it out.

Ranger is the class I’m currently level 80 with. I have been wanting to either level a necro guardian or ele next. I havnt played for a few months so I’m out of touch with the game that is why I needed some help with builds and qhat people find to work and what doesn’t.
