I have a kind of silly “problem”.

I have lots and lots of Zephyrite Lockpicks – mainly from PVP reward tracks and I resently started to “cash them in” by opening the locked chests during sand strom phase in dry top.

My problem is that I barly find more then 2 or 3 in one phase so it takes ages to get through my stack of lockpicks. Are there some kind of “hot spots” for them? How do you find them quickly?

@ANet: how about implementing a new meta achievement that spawns a chest each day in your home instance like you did with the silverwaste chests?

Look for “Chest Farms” in the LFG pane, or finish Vinewrath as that spawns a guaranteed 4 chests, along with people usually hitting 2-4 shovel spots if you take the middle exit (and straight to the wall, then run to Amber).

OP is talking about Dry Top, not Silverwastes.

I’m a genius. Well, in LFG sometimes (rarely) there are Dry Tops maps being advertised. Otherwise, you just gotta know their locations and find a rotation. Youtube has a few good videos on it.

There are maps that show the spots the chests can appear. You can put together an efficient route that will pass through 80+% of them. The first time I tried it, I couldn’t find more than 2-3/sandstorm and the same again when I tried it 2-3 months ago. However, after slowing down and being more careful in choosing a route, I was easily able to manage 8+/sandstorm, without using any of the guides. I’m sure I could have done better still with the guides.
