Does anyone know where we can buy the starting armor again? The ones our character start out with. I have an idea for an armor look I want, but it requires the basic/first ever armor given to us.

I believe there is a vendor in the crafting section of LA that sells LV25 versions of the starter armor.

EDIT: Yep, just checked, the armor vendor right in front of the cooking station.

Really? Did not know this. Is this in the wiki? Does he offer only the stuff YOUR char started with or every possible combination. And only armor? Or the class specific items you choose at one of the questions too?

I went to the armour vendor just in front of the Master Chef like you said. They’re all level 80 whites. No sign of my starting armour or hood.

If you mean the head pice you chose during character creation you will have to create a new character with the same armor option then transmute it over to any armor you like and the skin will now be free to use on your main. You have to make sure that the armor you transmute with isn’t soulbound though.

Is this really the only way to obtain that particular skin again?

For example if I wanted the Anonymity Hood for my thief, who at this point no longer had access to it. I would have to

1. roll up a new thief , choosing the options to get the hood
2. transmute the hood skin onto a generic non-souldbound white
3. transfer the item to the character that wants the skin
4. transmute to the desired item.

That seems cumbersome. It would be nice if there was another way to just repurchase your starting headgear skin from somewhere.

Umm well I don’t know, it has my starter armor, available at levels 25 and 30. There is only one starter armor for each armor type. The only exception is the class-specific items (mesmer masks, theif hoods, engi goggles), which you can only get by rerolling that class and transmuting through the bank. There is no way to purchase them.
