Sorry for the somewhat strange question, but I heard some people saying that its possible to get pets when rolling a Human Warrior class…. is that true?

I know that the class has a longbow option, but its not a designated “Ranger” class…. can I still collect / own pets? If so, what is the best way of obtaining them (I have seen a lot on the auction house)

Only rangers get a permanent pet. Necro get minions. Mesmers get illusions. A couple different abilities for certains professions spawn npcs (thief spawning thieves).
You can spawn some npcs from certain runes.

Warrior get no special npc or anything outside of runes.
As for human, you get an elite skill in PvE that allows you to summons 2 hounds of ballthazar. But they ain’t good just like every other racial skills.

Pets you are seeing for sale on the AH are probably “vanity” pets, which anyone can use. They don’t do anything except follow you around, though. They are there just for looks. And I believe Snaple meant that necromancers get minions, not warlocks. There are no warlocks in the game.

Thanks Ultio – they are indeed the “minis” which I read up about – would have been nice to have something by my side (apart from the B hounds, which I do have) but guess I have to do without! Thanks for taking the time to answer.

Yes sorry I edited my post. I said warlock because I was thinking about my mesmer and it’s warlock illusion.
