Greetings every one.

First of all i love this game, yet i have a strange question, its about my necromancer. I started playing a few weeks ago with it, and now it is level 43 I finally managed to buy the traits book, but i am lost in how to setup his traits, till 40 i struggled with it, making wrong traits it seem, and most of the profession builds are for lvl 80 characters.

I love using the elite pet and i have scepter and dagger, staff alt weapon. But my question is how to make use of the traits and in what order am i supposed to put these to ; Hav the most use of these traits. I mean my dps is kinda low but so is everything, takes a long time till i kill some mob. Thats fine, but i have a feling i am wasting time going on like the way i am doing things right now.

Any Help leveling this necro up in the right way is appriciated.

Should i go minionmaster or keep putting points in curses? Do i need to get more hp to balance out fights? Its all confusing me.

Try going to the Necromancer forums. You’ll get more directed help there.

As for now, it might not be your traits that are making you kill things slowly, check your gear. Make sure you’re wearing green/blue/yellow items of your level (or within 5 levels). From there, figure out what you want to do as you level up. It’s not really about being able to kill things fast, it’s about doing what you want to do.

There is no straight forward answer to your question.
There should always be a good balance between the traits you are using, the skills (including weaponskills) you are using and the armor your using.

I have a pretty relaxed playstyle. So im setup so that in most fights I can keep myself going forever. I use the armor and stats and skills to reach that point. But then I stop. I have heard people overreacting to be prepared for every danger. The problem then is that it takes forever to kill something.

Keep also in mind you can always rechange your traits for a small amount of fee (at your level that is 1s65c (at level 80 it costs 3s50c).

You’ll have 33 traitpoints available right now. I would put 20 points in deathmagic and choose the traitskills that help with your playstyle to deal more damage (it depends a bit if you use minions or if you use e.g. a staff, or both)

the other 13 points go to Spite (and you will continu to fill that till your level 50). Again take a traitskill that helps you deal damage.
