Guild Wars 2

On my Mesmer I like to use a lot of reflect skills while in WvWvW. I noticed several times that Warriors using Rifle (with piercing trait) were not affected by my reflects. I’d like to make sure that my observations were correct and projectiles with piercing do ignore reflects, or am I wrong?

I can’t speak for mesmers, but I know on my ranger I get reflected by the guardian’s wall of reflection, and the pve earth elemental’s reflective barrier even with piercing.

Hm, assuming all single target ranged rifle skills are projectiles this could only mean that there is a bug with the Mimic skill I’m using to reflect. That, or lag spikes maybe…

It could be a number of things, an issue with the rifle, a difference in the effect of the piercing trait…and it’s possible that a mesmer mimic might not reflect a ranger with pierce either. I’ll be watching this for more information because I’d like to know too. I’ve been debating the real value of pierce with myself for awhile now.

I`m pretty sure piercing has nothing to do with reflecting, if it`s a projectile it`s going to get reflected by a reflect skill always, if you use reflect on time.

However, I can`t speak for bugged traits or skills, sadly that happens a lot in this game. I have to make my builds depending on what`s bugged and what isn`t and that`s rly sad.
